Survey flags are markers surveyors use in surveying projects to prepare job sites, mark out property boundaries and potential hazards.  Marking flags are brightly colored flags attached to thin metal rods. They come in different colors, but red, orange, and pink are the most common.

Pennants are used for clear perimeter markers on roofs and other edges when working at heights. Pennant flags are required by OSHA for perimeter marking of any above ground construction area, flat roof jobs, and other open upper-level construction.
